Peter Clark

Peter Clark is a collage artist who uses materials he can find such as post cards, maps, scraps of tissue and wallpaper and any pieces of scrap materials that he can find or that people have donated to him. He works with beaten up materials, things that have been through life such as used wallpaper and newspaper. His style of work is animals and everyday life but in collage where he uses pieces of material connected to the animal like his British bull dog piece where he used coloured pieces of paper that were connected to Britain such as the red, blue and white for the united kingdom’s flag. Or folding the paper or materials into shapes to give them a 3D effect like in his piece with the dresses where he made the frills of the dress stand out or where he uses buttons as wheels. I like his use of materials that he can find and make it from scraps of paper into an animal with fine detail or bright colour.
