This was from our day out as a class to the Yorkshire sculpture park where we carried out taking photos of the park and the exhibits linking in with our project on lines. Here are some of the photos i took of the exhibit where the artist used lines to create imagery and sculptures and some off the sculpture were made from wood in the kors exhibit in the far end of the park and the other exhibit at the top in the warehouse. The other imagery from round the park was linked in with nature and finding lines with in the park in brick work and in trees and scenary.

Fashion workshop
Here is a piece from the fashion part of the roundabout where we used different pieces of imagery and material to mix together on the sowing machine. Here i chose to use an image of a gate all cut up and distorted linking in with my theme of punk street using the image from a gate on my visoin of punk street being a large gate to a mansion of a rock stars house like jimi hendrix or axel rose from guns n roses. Then using a textured piece of felt over the top to add in a different feel to the piece of felt as well as the imagery.
Fine art collage
Here was the piece i created in the fine art section of the roundabout. We took a piece of A2 paper and split it into 12 where we would then make 12 different backgrounds with black material or media such as pen ink ec. Then we split another A2 sheet into 12 but drawing images quickly from our lines wall piece, these we had to make basic when drawing so then when mixed with the black backgrounds we could then add in white paint to make all of the squares link with each other like linking all the twigs together by crossing them over each individual square.
Lino printing
Here is my lino print piece sadly i did not get to print this but i cut out the piece of the sign which i created in the 3D workshop linking it in again with my theme of punk street with it looking its been wrecked by young rebelious teen rockers.
3D & metal workshop
Here is my pieces from the metalwork where we took pieces of copper and cut them up into different shapes linked into our chosen theme, with mine being about punk street i created street signs along with a B for a band known as Beartooth and the yellow piece being a sort of street view that didnt go as planned but the rest turned out pretty well. Then once covered in the coloured powder like a type of enamel then we would put them into the kilm to melt the enamel and leave the finished product with a smooth gloss finish.
Here below is a piece from my time in the 3D workshop where i created a sign linking to a song called all signs point to Lauderdale, a song by one of the bands i researched called A Day To Remember linking to my theme of punk street. In the images below it shows how i burnt into the wood making it look worn and destorted like it would be in a warn down street ruined by punk rockers but adds a feel of freedom and teen rebelion which is my favourite part of punk rock.
Photography
This is a piece from the photography work shop which we produced in the workshops on the roundabout. This piece was a portrait photo taken by my partner in the photography studio where we experimented with light and shadow. Then we took these photos into the graphics studio and edited them in photoshop. Here we took parts of the image and put them into our own distorted piece.
With my image i distorted my face with dark tones and light tones then using body parts and distorting them with the transform tool, transforming ears eyes nose and hair into different shapes looking like sounds heard from my ear looking like i can hear different things. This linking in with my theme of music and lyrics in punk street.
Lines project
For this project as the 1st project of the year to set us off we had to base our work around the word/topic of lines. For a little group work we made a wall piece made from twigs wrapped in materials we were given. Below are some images of some which we produced.
Here i made a set of twigs wrapped in masking tape and different coloured pieces of cotton.
Here is a part of the wall piece covered in everyone's individual pieces of work making up the word lines and behind is our mural where we drew around our class mates in different coloured pens.
